Among the conventional baitcasting reels that Shimano offers is the Tiagra 12. It is described as a “true light line reel”, taking its name from the 12-pound test that it was optimized for. Meanwhile, the Tiagra 16 features the Long Range Special drag curve or LRS for short. The LRS is a steep curve that is made so that anglers can maximize the maximum drag settings that this Shimano baitcast reel has.
