Pflueger Baitcasting Reels
Pflueger Reels has been around since 1881, when its founder Ernest F. Pflueger established Enterprise Manufacturing Company, which specialized in manufacturing fishing hooks. His son, Earnest A. Pfluefer expanded their product line to include fishing tackle and gear. Finally, in 1916, Pflueger manufactured their first baitcast reel. Since then, their baitcast reels have been the standard for baitcast reels.

The Pflueger Summit Baitcast Reel is equipped with nine stainless steel ball bearings which are double-shielded. It also has a one-way clutch instant anti-reverse bearing, a titanium line guide, a brake system called “Ultimate Brake System” which uses centrifugal and magnetic brakes to give you the best cast control, machined, ported and double anodized aluminum spool, aircraft grade aluminum main gear and brass pinion gears, a lightweight aluminum frame and an aluminum handle side plate, and a smooth multi-disc main gear applied drag system with audible star adjustment. The President Baitcast Reel has a gear ratio of 6:4:1 and a spool capacity of 8.0-9.4 pounds. It is made for medium freshwater to light saltwater conditions.
The Pfleuger Trion Baitcast Reel has five double shielded stainless steel ball bearings, one-way clutch instant anti-reverse bearings, a titanium line guide, one-way clutch instant anti-reverse bearing, a titanium line guide, patented six-pin adjustable centrifugal brake system, a rugged one-piece solid aluminum frame with aluminum handle side plate, machined, ported and anodized aluminum spool, smooth multi-disc main gear applied star drag system, sturdy aluminum handle with soft-touch knobs and a thumb bar spool release. The Trion has a gear ratio of 6:3:1, and is made for medium freshwater to light saltwater conditions.
The Purist Baitcast Reel has 7 double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings, a one-way clutch instant anti-reverse bearing, patented six-pin adjustable centrifugal brake system, lightweight, one-piece graphite frame and side plates, machined, ported and anodized aluminum spool, smooth multi-disc main gear applied star drag system, and a titanium line guide & thumb bar spool release. The Purist has a gear ratio of 6:4:1 or 6:3:1. This reel is made for freshwater conditions.
